Rick has finished up the bee and house clean up work at Bee Haven for the summer, after overseeing the transfer of our old extracting equipment to a venerable bee queen and her partner in Massachusetts, who are going to be trying their hands at making some honey after many years of focussing on queens. He’s headed east now, for Mn, after getting a lot of our old hive materials into new hands and some of the old apiary locations passed on to others. Now it’s time to consider what, if any, orthopedic surgeries really make any sense for him.

This winter we’ll also be focussing on finding who might be the next ones to live and love at Bee Haven. If you’re one of those folks who’s reached out to us in the past about purchasing it when we’ve moved on, you’ll be hearing from us around the new year. We’re hoping to avoid a MLS by finding the right folks on our own, so we can manage the transfer of hands with a private sale.

Gen’s been gardening and getting house projects done at our new-to-us 1920’s house in Duluth. She’s excited to begin working towards two new offerings in 2027, after a whole lotta sifting through old stuff that needed to be reborn into new hands. A satisfying, if tedious task, now very gratefully almost completed. She’ll be creating a wee little online e shop, with a name yet to be determined; a place she can offer her whole plant, garden grown and wildcrafted potions alongside some traditional magical and ceremonial goodies and some crafty artistic offerings. And as an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church since 2013, she’ll also be opening a small online intuitive guidance practice for one on one work with individuals seeking spiritual support and guidance.
